General Questions
VolSnap is a platform that connects people with short-term volunteer opportunities (2–8 hour shifts) at local nonprofits, community gardens, shelters, and events. Our mission is to make volunteering accessible, flexible, and impactful.
Yes! VolSnap is completely free for both volunteers and organizations. We believe in removing barriers to community service.
Anyone aged 16 or older can sign up as a volunteer. Nonprofits, community groups, and other organizations can register to post opportunities.
VolSnap is available wherever our users and organizations are located. You can filter opportunities by distance to find shifts near you.
For Volunteers
Browse opportunities on the home page and click "Sign Up" on any listing. You'll need to create a free account first. Once signed up, you'll receive a confirmation and can manage your signups from the "My Signups" page.
Absolutely. Go to "My Signups" and click "Cancel Signup" on any upcoming shift you can no longer attend. Cancelling opens the slot for another volunteer, so please cancel as early as possible.
If an opportunity has reached its required number of volunteers, the "Sign Up" button will be disabled and marked as "Full." Some organizations may offer a waitlist option.
Your impact dashboard shows total volunteer hours, badges earned, and your current streak. Visit the "My Impact" page to see your complete history.
Badges are awarded automatically when you complete certain milestones — such as your first shift, 10 hours of service, or a 7-day volunteering streak.
Yes! Click the heart icon on any opportunity to add it to your favorites. You can view your saved opportunities by toggling the "Favorites" filter on the home page.
Each opportunity lists any required skills or materials. The organization will provide specific instructions after you sign up.
For Organizations
Create an organization account, then use the "Post an Opportunity" button on the home page. Fill in the details — title, description, date, location, number of volunteers needed, and any required skills.
Yes. Organizations are verified to ensure trust and safety. Contact us at admin@volsnap.com to complete the verification process.
Your organization dashboard shows all volunteers who have signed up for your opportunities. You can view contact details, mark attendance, and communicate with volunteers.
Yes, from your organization dashboard you can edit opportunity details or cancel a shift if needed. Volunteers will be notified of any changes.
Volunteers can send messages through the platform once they've signed up for your opportunity. You can reply directly through your dashboard.
Account & Settings
Click "Sign Up" on the home page. You can register with an email and password, or sign in with Google for a faster setup.
Click on your avatar or name in the navigation bar and select "Edit Profile." You can update your name, skills, interests, and availability.
Yes. Go to your profile settings and select "Delete Account." This will permanently remove your data from VolSnap.
We take data security seriously. Your information is encrypted, we never sell your data, and dietary restrictions are only shared with the organizations you sign up with. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Try clearing your browser cache, disabling browser extensions, or using an up-to-date browser like Chrome, Firefox, or Safari. If the issue persists, contact us at admin@volsnap.com.
